There is a new program available to provide down payment assistance for qualified home buyers. There is $2,500,000 set aside to provide either $10,000 or $12,500 for your down payment and if you own the home 5 years at least nothing needs to be paid back. This is the first year that its available in Alaska where NeighborhoodLIFT will open to families earning up to the median area income. For a family of four in Anchorage, the income limit is $104,900; in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, AK the income limit is $92,600. Below is more information & helpful links.
